Server-side ad insertion

Also called SSAI.

Stitching ads into a video stream on the server, so the player receives one continuous stream.

SSAI is common in CTV and live streaming. The stitcher calls the ad server, receives VAST, transcodes creatives to match the content, and inserts them into the manifest. Tracking events are fired by the stitcher or by the player on cue.
