Consent string

Also called TC string, TCF.

An encoded record of the user’s privacy choices, carried in the request under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.

The string says which purposes and which vendors the user consented to. Every party in the chain is responsible for honouring it. The ad server’s job is to forward it unchanged.
